The Digital Development Unit offer advice and funding to businesses looking to invest in technology and innovation in order to grow their business. 

The DDU provide practical innovation and technology support to small businesses and the wider community. In 2007 the DDU secured funding from the Local Enterprise Growth Initiative (LEGI) to deliver their services not only to Blackburn with Darwen but to the wider Pennine Lancashire area under the banner of No Limits.

Eureka is the innovation & technology support strand of No Limits.  The project will operate for 3 years until March 2010.  Eligible businesses, start ups and individuals will be supported to develop and be more competitive through the effective exploitation of technology and innovation.  The DDU is the lead delivery body for Eureka.

They cover the Pennine Lancashire boroughs of Blackburn with Darwen, Burnley, Hyndburn and Pendle at present and companies in those eligible areas can receive advice and possible funding. There are other eligibility criteria clients should be able to fulfill regarding the impact the funding will have on the wider economy i.e. the creation of jobs etc.
